Every WebWise Community, regardless of which Service Package you purchase, provides the following features:
Every user is given a personalized page which includes profile information, a photo, a personal description, and their personal interests. Members may represent themselves in the community through defined profile attributes (customizable by the community owner), by entering free text, and by uploading media including videos, images, documents, photos, and any other file format.
Members can earn points by performing various community-building activities such as posting in the forums, submitting articles and tips, taking surveys, mentoring newbies, inviting others to join, and much more. Points can be displayed on a "brag board."
If you would like to fund the system to let your members redeem their points for actual goods, WebWise will provide a customizable catalog of incentive gifts which members can purchase with their reward points. WebWise handles all rewards transactions, including order fulfillment.
Administrators can send email newsletters to the community – either to members within the community or to those who have not yet registered. All messaging may be tailored by the administrator.
Members can receive email notification about new content posted on a topic of interest to them, replies to their forum questions, and much more. They can also subscribe to RSS feeds for any group discussion, and easily send invitations to others to join the community.
WebWise communities support keyword searching across content and people in the system. Through one common search, users can find people, groups, forum posts, documents, media files, etc.
As people navigate through the community, the system will indicate when another community member is online at that time.
WebWise Communities include a complete discussion forum system which allows users to post, reply, search, and rate messages. In addition, all discussions may be subscribed to via email or RSS.
Administrators or users can set up groups around which people can post files, engage in discussions and share ideas.
Users can communicate privately and directly with any other member of the community. Every member in the system is given a private in-box which to store all private discussions.
Community administrators and measure and probe the opinions and ideas of their community members by creating and delivering opinion polls. Multiple polls may be activated at one time, and data is summarized in real-time.
All articles, files, and discussion posts can be rated and commented on by the community.
Administrators can upload into the system a flat file of people to be invited into the system.
Administrators can customize each role they wish to display within the system. Rights around participation in groups, ability to schedule meetings and ability to request introductions can all be defined by role.
Administrators may create ad units that are featured throughout the site and can include any message (combination of image, text and link). These ad units may be used to feature anything from advertiser content, sponsor messaging, cross-selling messages, or featured groups within the community.
Web analytics code tracks the traffic to and from your site, and allows you to discover the most frequented areas of your site.
